The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Social Affairs Minister Juliari Batubara a suspect in a bribery case pertaining to the distribution of COVID-19 social aid. Juliari, an Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) politician, allegedly accepted Rp 17 billion (US$1.2 million) from businesspeople in exchange for the COVID-19 staple aid distribution project valued at Rp 5.9 trillion.
