ndonesian soccer fans, especially Liverpool FC aficionados will witness a rare event as their favorite soccer club, in cooperation with insurance giant AXA, gears up to organize a running event dubbed the “Kop Run presented by AXA” on April 11 in Jakarta.
Those who want to register can go online at koprunjakarta2020.com.
The event organizer brought former Liverpool defender Phil Babb to the enrolling event in Jakarta last week.
“We are more than happy to bring you this event so we can both exercise and have fun at the same time,” Babb said.
He said that last year’s event in Bangkok had successfully attracted running enthusiasts from all walks of life. Thus, he expected to be able to create the same atmosphere here.
Country CEO of AXA Julien Steimer said this was a wonderful moment for him and AXA to be able to host the event for the first time in the country.
“Liverpool FC and we in AXA have worked on the same issue, how to popularize healthy lifestyles,” he said.
A makeshift tent, dubbed the KOP Village, will be erected at the Kota Kasablanka shopping mall and will feature dozens of stalls offering lots of games and entertainment.
