The demographic bonus comes as a result of robust economic growth, thanks to a larger working age group, which is expected to reach 70 percent of the total population by 2030
In general, however, insurance awareness among Indonesian people remains low. This entails continuous endeavors to raise the awareness among the young people about the importance of life and financial protection and investment.
This explains why PT AXA Financial Indonesia, which is part of AXA Group, recently launched its latest unit link product, AXA Signature Link (ASL), and opened AXA Experience Zone, an educative platform featuring high-tech games. The launch was conducted on May 5 at Kuningan City in South Jakarta.
AXA Group is one of the biggest insurance and asset management companies in the world.
AXA Financial Indonesia’s CEO Niharika Yadav said during the opening ceremony that aligned with the company’s mission to be a partner to its customers by providing innovative and comprehensive solutions based on their needs, “we present AXA Signature Link, a new generation unit link product with great flexibility on protection. Today, we also present AXA Experience Zone, a platform to build awareness and educate Indonesians by leveraging the technology of tomorrow.
“Through a unique and fun way, we will simplify insurance for millennials and the young family segment and contribute to financial literacy, aligned with the OJK’s [Financial Services Authority] program. Both these initiatives are proof of AXA’s commitment to customer centricity and in line with our spirit of our partner Liverpool FC’s [motto], ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.”
AXA Signature Link is a long-term protection product that not only covers life protection but also terminal illnesses. This solution also offers optimum protection as well as investment at every stage of life.
This product completes the wide range of AXA Financial Indonesia’s unit link products with winning features, including:
Rider benefits that can be add based on customers’ needs
Meanwhile, AXA Financial Indonesia director Vicentius Wilianto said: “We realize that at every stage of life, everyone will have different needs and AXA Signature Link is there to help them fulfill each one of them.”
He went on to say that “this is a long-term solution for financial protection that can provide customers with optimum sum assured as well as loyalty bonuses for customers, so that they can achieve their financial dream – be it by preparing for an education plan, retirement plan or income protection”.
In addition to providing long-term investment benefits, AXA Signature Link offers other benefits such as basic insurance benefits for risk of death and terminal illness, as well as riders benefits such as coverage for inpatient care and surgery at a hospital.
It also offers a premium payment waiver in the case of permanent disability and critical illnesses. These benefits are expected to enable customers to plan their finances with peace of mind.
“With the AXA Signature Link product, we believe that our agency distribution channel is ready to enter the era of transformation in protection. The advantages of this latest product make our agents more confident as financial consultants,” said AXA Financial Indonesia director Cicilia Nina.
“AXA Signature Link helps our customers get comprehensive and optimal protection solutions that are easy to reach. With AXA Signature Link, we offer protection that provides the best lifestyle for customers and their families.”
OJK data strengthens the company’s optimism by predicting that the total premium of life insurance will reach Rp 257.38 trillion (US$17.99 billion) in 2019, where unit link is predicted to contribute around Rp 131.16 trillion and traditional insurance around Rp 126.51 trillion.
On the other hand, the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI) reported that unit link is still the biggest contributor at 58.4 percent for the past 10 years. AAJI further targeted unit link to grow 15-20 percent this year.
In order to support the government in improving financial and insurance education and literacy among the public, AXA Financial Indonesia together with other business units under AXA Indonesia presents AXA Experience Zone, an interactive education area. The educational platform is available from April and will run through March 2020.
“As part of our commitment to introducing and educating insurance to the public, AXA Indonesia presents the AXA Experience Zone, an interactive education platform created to introduce the importance of protection through a fun and unique way. With fun virtual games, the AXA Experience Zone will bring better awareness to Indonesian people regarding health, life and asset protection. Both adults and children can enjoy playing with this VR/AR technology,” said AXA Indonesia country CEO Julien Steimer.
The AXA Experience Zone is a platform for the public to understand insurance and the importance of protecting the future through a unique and fun concept.
The public can visit the AXA Experience Zone at Kuningan City’s UG floor, where there will be exciting virtual reality games that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, starting from the age of 5 years old.
