eligious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saefuddin has rewarded those who successful provided services during haj. Immigration Director General Ronny F Sompie was one of the three award winners.
The other winners were Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia Usamah Muhammad al-Syu’aiby and state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II.
The awards were handed out on the sidelines of the national conference on the evaluation of haj 1439 H/2018 in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Lukman expressed his appreciation to all sides that helped with the haj’s management. “We should be grateful for the implementation and innovation of haj services this year.”
One of innovations in the implementation of the haj was the checking of travel documents, which was conducted in Indonesia. This process made it easier for those going on haj.
The increase of services for those going on haj was also implemented in Saudi Arabia.
Ronny said he fully supported the innovation. “Our cooperation is in line with the principle of synergy between institutions to support the services for those going on haj.”
