According to West Jakarta Special Class I Immigration Office chief Abdul Rahman, this service is designed to provide greater insight and understanding among the public for the elderly and persons with disabilities by helping them and giving them easier access to public services.
"We want to provide added convenience in immigration services, and our officials will proactively help," Abdul said.
The enhanced convenience provided by these services includes allowing applicants to instantly come to the office without registering online beforehand. In addition, there will be special booths separated from other applicants.
During this April 3 opening event, a 33-year-old person with a disability by the name of Habibi Afsyah had the privilege of becoming the first passport applicant to be able to enjoy these special services.
Habibi said these services allowed easier access to public services for people with disabilities.
"Now it is easy to do compared to when I tried to take care of my passport in the past. I hope that access is made easier in other offices as well," Habibi said.
