T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) carried out mentorship and training program through a business visit to six customers of PNM Mekaar on Feb 24, in Manikliyu village, Kintamani district, Bangli regency, Bali. Attending the program was Jimmy Firmansyah as the branch leader of PNM Denpasar and coffee farmer Wayan Sujana of Manikliyu village as a speaker.
PNM, through its Denpasar branch, has run a series of sustainable mentorships through a business capacity development program in the form of business visits or field trips with the theme "Coffee Experience." To PNM, the program is a vital step in establishing an emotional rapport and providing guidance to micro, small, and medium business owners to enrich their knowledge and contribute to the business development of PNM Mekaar customers.
On Feb.24, the convoy made multiple trips to different locations. The first stop was Manikliyu village, where I Wayan Sujana spoke as the head of the coffee farmers and producers at Kopi Manik Sedana in Manikliyu village. His company sells the coffee in collaboration with Tanamera Kopi, including the Arabica type, usually grown at 1200-1400 meters above sea level. Other activities include post-harvest processing.
The second location was Blantih village, Kintamani, where the visitors learned to roast coffee beans. The speaker, Ayu, is a female entrepreneur who employs 25-50 other women. Ayu has successfully exported her coffee to many other countries, including Dubai and South Korea. Like the previous location, the area's primary specialty is the Arabica bean.
Finally, visitors arrived at their third and last destination, Catur village in Kintamani. I Ketut Jati is another coffee farmer and producer who has shipped his Arabica coffee to other regions and countries, including the United States, South Korea, Dubai, Japan and more. The entire session ended with a brewing session featuring coffee from each village.
Each activity was done under strict health protocols and all material was tailored to marketing, managing and growing a coffee business. Furthermore, PNM's business capacity development program also trains business owners on building synergy between organizations to nurture and upscale a successful micro or small enterprise that is superior, resilient and innovative.
As of Feb 24 PNM had disbursed Rp 113.36 trillion to over 11.4 million customers. It has over 3,025 PNM Mekaar offices and 688 PNM ULaMM offices throughout Indonesia. They all serve micro and small enterprises in 34 provinces, 422 regencies and towns and 5,640 districts.
