ingapore-based martial arts organization ONE Championship has announced its partnership with Kaskus, the largest online community and forum in Indonesia. ONE and Kaskus are set to collaborate on a wide variety of content initiatives, to further develop the Indonesian martial arts ecosystem, and bring Indonesian ONE Championship stars closer to the fans.
“Indonesian sports fans are among the most passionate in the world, and it is important for us to be able to connect with the local community. Kaskus is an amazing platform that will help us connect our Indonesian athletes to the millions of Indonesian fans around the world,” said Hua Fung Teh, Group President of ONE Championship, who stated during an online discussion jointly held by Kaskus.
Indonesian athlete Priscilla Hertati “Thathie” Lumban Gaol was also invited to the Tuesday discussion.
Kaskus has millions of unique users and works to bring Indonesians together in engaged discussions around hobbies and passions. Since its inception in 1999, Kaskus has transformed into one of Indonesia’s most prolific web platforms, providing hobby-related and community-based content in different formats such as text, videos and podcasts. ONE Championship and Kaskus are willing to explore the many possibilities in leveraging both platforms.
“Through this collaboration between ONE and Kaskus as content and community partners, Kaskus will strengthen its position as the ultimate destination to interact and discuss hobbies and passions in general and in particular to develop content and community in MMA,” said Kaskus CEO Edi Taslim.
“Now Kaskusers can have a chance to engage in discussion on the official ONE Championship forum, as well as watch exciting video clips and LIVE match streaming on Kaskus TV. We believe the collaboration will enrich our platform with information, quality entertainment and engaged discussion among MMA fans at Kaskus.”
Wushu World Championship Medalist Priscilla said in the discussion that it has always been a great honor for her to represent Indonesia on ONE bouts.
“It is a huge honor to represent Indonesia in ONE Championship. Every time I enter the ONE Circle, I bring the pride and honor of my country to the global stage of martial arts competition. This kind of feeling that i want to share with Kaskus users as well,” she said.
